Government Agents Celebrate BC150
Government Agents served Vernon out of this office in 1893
Gordon Swan is a Government Agent with an interest in the history of his profession. As well as celebrating BC150, Government Agents have been reflecting on 150 years of service in 2008. “Government Agents have helped the province grow into what it is today by going that extra mile for citizens.”
The history team has supported a variety of 2008 celebrations. However, the event that has generated the most interest is the temporary reopening of the Government Agent office in Barkerville.
